Aaron Rodgers’ Shhhhh Cuts Two Ways

When the Packers finished dismantling the Houston Texans, Aaron Rodgers fired back at the media by simply saying “shhhhhhh”.  It was the sound heard round the football world.

I understand that Rodgers gesture was directed more towards a few in the national spotlight but to be honest, the media member in me thought his gesture was cocky, almost arrogant.  Understand, we in the media try to gather information, confirm our sources numerous times over, write what we believe to be true and, yes, occasionally create an informed hypothesis.  Sometimes we even discuss what simply is measured via the eye test.  If it looks like _____ it’s usually…well, you get the picture.

So for Mr. Rodgers to “shhhhhhh” anyone who criticizes his play or the play of his team mates, I take some offense and will say, I have my job to do and you have yours.

The fan in me will say to Aaron Rodgers, yeahhhhhhhh, you da man!
