When he won his appeal for testing positive for PEDs many said that the Brewers left fielder, Ryan Braun, won by arguing the process by which the sample was collected and not the actual results of the test. Many took that as an indication of guilt, many hardcore fans took that as an indicator that Braun was screwed by the system.
Now Braun’s name has surfaced again amidst a PED investigation of a company called Biogenesis, a now seized South Florida clinic that allegedly supplied performance-enhancing drugs to several Major League players including the Yankees Alex Rodriguez.
Braun claims that his attorney used Biogenesis as a point of reference in preparation for his appeals case. Both Braun’s name and his attorney’s, Chris Lyons, appear on documents in reference to money owed the clinic.
The University of Miami’s strength and conditioning coach, Jimmy Goins, was also on the list. Why is this important? Because Braun went to college at Miami.
Believe what you want. Braun is one of the budding stars in the game today. Many admire him by the way he stood up and forcefully denied all allegations against him. On the other hand, after his name is yet again linked to the scourge of sports…steroids, many are now being wooed by the argument “where there’s smoke there’s fire”.

I hope he gets suspended for the 150 games… the 50 he got out of and the 100 for this one!

Let’s just ask the clinic owner why Braun’s name is in the ledger. His lawyer should also be out in front of this and clear it up quickly.
