The atmosphere was electric at the Bradley Center as the New York Knicks rolled in to town for, what seemed to be, a playoff game for a playoff spot. Milwaukee and New York battled back and for for 4 complete quarters. The fans were emotionally vested in every shot, every possession, every rebound. As time dwindled, the energy crescendoed with 1:45 to go when Monta Ellis hit a big 3, giving him 35 points for the night. That bucket put the Bucks up 105-103. Greinke Must Be Signed
Shortstop Alcides Escobar, centerfielder Lorenzo Cain and pitching prospects Jake Odorizzi and Jeremy Jeffress, the future of the Milwaukee Brewers, were the keys to ignite the Zack Greinke trade. Quite a steep price to garner the services of a former Cy Young Award winner.
If you lose Greinke to free agency, not only will you have lost a cornerstone to a very solid pitching staff but you will have sacraficed a good portion of your team’s future for a mere 2 seasons of baseball (the second year chapter – yet to be written).
