Ryan Braun said it best, “Until we’re eliminated, we’ve got to believe and continue to play hard every day, we’re not out of it yet”.

We rolled our eyes as I think most of us believe that the Brewers left fielder was merely saying what any good leader would say….the right thing. 

After Tuesday night’s win over the Atlanta Braves, coupled with yet another Cardinals’ loss, the Milwaukee Brewers now find themselves back at .500 (71-71) and only 4 games out of the Wild Card with 20 games yet to play.

It was early August when the Brewers were 15.0 games back in the standings and the state of Wisconsin’s focus turned towards Packers training camp since a baseball post-season was out of the question.  The words, “next year” was becoming all too prevalent for Brewers fans….but now eyebrows are raising once again.

The likelihood of the Brewers actually getting into the post-season is still mythical but then again, the Packers weren’t supposed to win back the Lombardi Trophy as a wild card team either.
