Rodger Goodell recused himself from hearing the appeal of the bounty scandal and Saints LB Jonathan Vilma. The NFLPA and Vilma is stating that Goodell was biased in his investigation and therefore incapable in rendering and unbiased verdict.
Goodell, not wanting the appearance of impropriety, has appointed former commissioner Paul Tagliabue to hear the appeal.
Problem; Tagliabue handpicked Goodell to succeed him when he stepped down as the commissioner of the NFL and Tagliabue works for the law firm representing Goodell legally.
If there’s anything that I’ve learned after watching years of Law & Order is the fact that the mere appearance of impropriety is unjust. What Goodell is doing regarding the bounty case is getting embarrassing.
Forget what’s right commissioner, for someone who preaches respect for the game and respect for “the shield”, you’re certainly living life as a hypocrite.

This is really becoming a joke! I thought the same thing when I first heard about this.
