No Flopping In The NBA; What About Soccer?

The Milwaukee Bucks have gathered at the Cousin’s Center in St. Francis Wisconsin with the aspirations of the playoffs dancing through their heads.

If the Bucks venture toward the post-season, they’ll have to do it without the benefit of “flopping”.  Flops are the exaggerated falls to the floor that seemingly fool the referees and some unintelligent fans.

Players will now get a warning for the first flop, a $5,000 fine for a second violation and the fines will escalate as the flops persist.  Six or more flops could lead to a suspension.

Let me say, it’s about time.  This has been a long time coming for the NBA.  Now if we could only get soccer to adopt the same policy, maybe those hundreds of thousands of sports fans who gave soccer a chance and were so repulsed by not only the low scores but inept physical ability for its players not to writhe around on the field like toddlers throwing a temper tantrum…..maybe 10-12 of those people would come back to witnes that game.

Who am I kidding, we gave soccer a chance….now, on with more football…….of any type.
