Packers D Can’t Get Much Worse

409 yards, that’s what the Packers defense gave up to the Vikings Adrian Peterson in 2 games this season.  This fundamentally unsound group continues to amaze with their inability to actually tackle.

At what point do we direct the accusatory finger in the direction of the defensive guru Dom Capers?

To be honest, I can deal with Peterson’s 199 yards and 2 TDs (1 receiving) vs. Green Bay but couple that with Christian Ponders 234 yards and 3….countem 3 TD passes and you have to wonder what the game plan actually was vs. the Vikings yesterday in the giant garbage bag known as the Metrodome.  Ponder has thrown only 3 TD passes total in the 5 games prior to the titanic struggle in the season finale.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense have played above average this season, not great but above average.  For the Packers to win the in the post-season, Cobb, Jennings, Nelson, Jones, Finley will have to be in sync, as one, with the ARog universe if Green Bay is to have any aspirations to venture past their divisional foe on Wild Card Weekend in the NFL next Saturday night.

The old adage is, “Defense wins you championships”.  If that’s what you’re relying on, as a Packers fan, you’ll have to borrow the most famous phrase any Cubs fan continuously and repeatedly utters…..”Wait til next year”.

This team may beat the Vikings at home Saturday but I believe that will be it for this year, and looking at next years schedule, 2013 will be a nightmare if they dont find a defense.

I hope Mike MCcarthy was on a rampage in the locker room after the game loosing to the Vikings and have to play them again next week. It appears The Packers can’t seem to beat team in the first round of the playoffs that they played the week prior.( Examples) Vikings of all teams Randy Moss simulate mooning the Lambeau croud. Arizona the imfamous non facemask call.I hate it when the Packers have to play the same team in the first round of the playoffs that they play the final game in the regular season. I’m hoping to be proved wrong this comming weekend about the Packers can’t beat a team in the first round of the playoffs that they played the week prior.
