How will the Packers beat the Cowboys?
If Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers, AKA Superman, from the very first snap. If Rodgers and the Nelsonless offense can put up a quick score, or two, and make Dak Prescott think that he must match the future hall of famer throw for throw, score for score. If the pressure of his first NFL playoff game weighs heavy on the shoulders of the Cowboys signal caller thus making a mistake or two leading to turnovers.
If Dom Capers and his bubble gum and bailing wire defense can get 5 to 6 stops. If Clay Matthews can muster something more consistent when it comes to quarterback pressure. If Julius Peppers continues to conjure up the age of 31 instead of 36 (soon to be 37).
If Zeke Elliott oversleeps and gets caught speeding to the game by a Texas State Patrolman who happens to be a Packers fan.
Otherwise, I’m not sure that the Packers have enough in the trenches to beat a bigger, more physical Dallas team.
I’m not calling for all gloom and doom when it comes to a Packers team who has done the improbable, who knows maybe the magical ride continues. I’ve always said; to win a championship you must be good, you must be healthy, you must be hot and you must be lucky. The Packers are 3 out of 4 right now, no doubt about that, but at what point does the “hot” and/or “luck” run out?
Let’s hope it doesn’t.
