The Miami Heat; Flash Over Substance

The MIami Heat are Dwayne Wade’s team.  The banner in the rafters of the American Airlines Arena is attributed to Wade.  Wade by far is the crowned jewel of the franchise.

That said, he’s a beat up 30 year old and he’s become a prima donna excuse maker for his team’s failures.  The shortened 66 game season has effected everyone in the NBA; so why do we give more credence to it when it comes to star players and not the entire supporting cast or the rest of the league? 

Look, the Heat lost becasue Wade was cold, Lebron James scored a perceptually low 22 (16 in the first half) and the supporting cast isn’t clutch at all.  Let’s give the Pacers some credit, they played defense, they hustled, they fed off of their crowd, the passed the basketball, the played through aches and pains as well and they played team basketball.  Why does the national media have to say, “Jame’s was wore down”?  EVERYONE played a quick 66 game season…PERIOD. 

Bottom line, the euphoria that was the big 3, now makes excuses, fights with coaches, seems old, needs others to help them and will never win 5, 6, 7…… and it couldn’t happen to a nicer trio of
