College football broke the silence on Saturday….it’s back.
In State College PA, at Penn State University, for the first time since 1949, there wasn’t a coach on the staff named Paterno.
Head coach Bill Obrien and his young men began a new era and in doing so, we try to heal from the past. But, like ripping a scab off of a gaping wound, the Paterno family reveals their besmirched heads again. Joe’s surviving family members said that they love Penn State therefore they attended Saturday’s game against the Bobcats from Ohio university.
Nothing like moving on when the anchors from the past continue to hold you back.
The Paterno’s say they love the university….if that’s true then why can’t they understand that it’s about their university and not their own self indulgent needs to be seen.
Like a king who has been dethroned, the Paternos just don’t understand that they don’t rule the kingdom any more.
If they really wanted to show their true love for the university, they would appreciate that their mere presence is a reminder of the heinous crimes that took place under their patriarchs watch…if they really loved Penn State, they would show their understanding and empathy for all…instead, they continually reveal their character.
