We Discussed It…..Your Perception?

AaronRodgersIn the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Rob Reischel wrote a piece on Aaron Rodgers and his leadership.  Rodgers has taken some shots this season and survived with another top statistical year-long performance.

But is Rodgers the leader you want in the locker room?

Regers is a mentally tough, intelligent, physically gifted quarterback.  I believe that he’ll rebound, along with his team mates, in a big way in 2013.  Coming off of a Super Bowl win, a Super Bowl MVP, a 15-1 2011 regular season, an MVP 2011…sure, there might have been an overconfidence issue but I think that’s to be expected a bit, it’s human nature right.

What do you look for in 2013?

Rodgers is doing the same thing Brett Favre did to Mike Sherman, walking all over and second guessing the coach. All is fine when Rodgers is winning, but I think it could get ugly if we start losing. Throwing his helmet like a little kid after a playoff loss to Arizona, tracking down the ref who made the bad call in the Seattle game and berrating him, screaming at James Jones on the field, and screaming at coach McCarthy after he threw an illegal challenge flag, criticising the effort of some of his teammates is not the way to act when you are a leader. Arguably the best player in football, I wish Rodgers would get the chip off his shoulder and grow up.

I think what Aaron Rodgers needs to do is look himself in the mirror I don’t mean mirror to see his own face but take a good look at himself and take all that negativity about him and ask himself, am I really like that and be honest with himself, if any of it is true what do I need to do cure those hickups. This off season would be the time to get with maybe visit some of his teamates & coaches and work out any differences and get on the same page for next season.
