The Bucks will open the 2012 – 13 season with a point guard who has mixed emotions regarding his future in Milwaukee. Brandon Jennings hasn’t signed the contract extension he was looking for. Then again, his head coach is in the last year of his deal and so is the general manager.
For lack of a better term, this is a proving year for many within the walls of the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Jennings has shown us flashes of greatness but he’s also been so incredibly immature that his deserving of $11 million a year doesn’t seem palatable.
A leader is someone who you can rely on every night to make you better and ultimately make you a winner. In your honest opinion, has Brandon Jennings done that? Will he ever be able to do that consistently?
My point exactly….you don’t know and you don’t have a lot of confidence in him, so why would you pay him.
Potential is an ugly word. When it comes to big money for future production, I have two words for you…..Michael Redd
