I’ve been a sports fan all my life. I love the spirit of competition, the joy of victory and the devastation of defeat. I’ve celebrated accomplishments and felt the deflation of injuy and the verbiage, “what could have been”.
Johnathan Lucroy is having an incredible season for the Milwaukee Brewers. Unfortunately, he suffered a freak injury via a fateful suitcase knocked to the floor, and upon Lucroy’s hand, by hs wife. “She didn’t mean to do it”, Lucroy told 1250 WSSP’s morning show Chuck & Wickett, “It’s (the fans) been brutal. I just ask that they leave me and my family alone”.
So called “fans” who feel compelled to attack Lucroy’s wife are gutless and cowards. Have you ever slammed your finger in a door, fell down and skinned your knee, fell off your bicycle, dropped something on your toe? Of course you have and you NEVER MEANT to do it. Accidents happen!
If you’re a fan, accept it and anxiously await Luc’s return. If you’re one of the cowards going after his wife, we don’t need you and you’re certainly NOT a fan.
